A charming hotel on the banks of the Arno
This small palace was built on order of the Italian King Vittorio Emanuele II in 1860 during the period that Florence was capital of Italy.
The Bronzi family transformed it into the warm, welcoming hotel it is today, passing the art of hospitality down through several generations that today still continue to welcome new and returning guests every single day.
The owners chose to maintain the original structure of the small villa so that the warm atmosphere of the era together with traditional Florentine hospitality would make Hotel Principe a home away from home in Florence rather than a simple hotel.
Elegance, charm, family atmosphere and tranquility are the ingredients that make a stay in this Renaissance style hotel special.
To start off your day on the right tone, allow yourself an enjoyable morning meal in the breakfast room adorned with original frescoes and pavements in precious multicolor mosaic marbles. Our clients, both Italian and foreign, continuously praise the quality of the products offered, the simplicity in the tastes offered and attention given to every detail. Upon request, we will gladly prepare foods for special diets, such as vegetarian or gluten-free.
Our guests will have precious memories of the time spent in the luxurious common areas, enjoying the pleasurable afternoon tea at the hotel's coffee bar or in the sunny garden, or while pausing to enjoy the various panoramic views over the medieval rooftops with Florence as the background.
